India vs Afghanistan: It’s by far the most important day for Afghanistan cricket and every step they take seems to be working perfectly for them. First, a test status, then a World Cup qualification, their stars earning huge contracts in the IPL and a recent 3-0 whitewash against Bangladesh. The Afghanis can for once forget the political turmoil in their country and afford a smile. India vs Afghanistan, a one-off test will be played from the 14th June – 18th June at Bengaluru. The World’s best test team are quite wary of the damage the Afghani stars can cause. The Afghani boys have nothing to lose. Every run they score, every wicket they pick and every landmark they reach will be etched in gold in their history books. Like every newbie, they’ll stumble, they’ll struggle but they’ll get up and get better.
VENUE: M CHINNASWAMY STADIUM, BENGALURU
Virat Kohli has ruled himself out of this fixture and the Indian legion will be led by Ajinkya Rahane. Mohammad Shami was replaced by Navdeep Saini but it’s very unlikely that the Delhi lad will get to start. Umesh Yadav is certain to take Shami’s spot.
For Afghanistan, Afsar Sazai will be the man in charge behind the stumps. They’ve got 3 wrist spinner(2 leggies and a chinaman), but who’s going to team up with Rashid Khan? Indians have been found wanting against wrist spinner and to play all three is undoubtedly a viable option.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR
KL Rahul in the IPL this year just showed us why he’s rated the next big thing. In the shortest format where players don’t care about technique and skill, Rahul outmanoeuvred every bowler. His timing, the ability to find gaps and do it consistently with immaculate technique makes him a player to watch out for.
On FanFight, Rahul is valued at 8.2 and is a very strong contender for the player of the match.
Another player who’s known for his flawless technique is Cheteshwar Pujara. Pujara’s 4-day stint in England was horrendous but the master batsman rediscovered his lost form in the 50-over format. Pujara will need to spend a short while at the crease and if the Afghanis don’t remove him, they’ll be in for a long day. Pujara averages 50.51 in tests and against a young bowling attack, he’ll fancy a three-figure score.
On FanFight Pujara costs 9.1 and is worth every penny.
There’s very little one can talk about the debutants. But Rashid Khan has made a massive impression. He can bat, he can give that red cherry a tweak and boy can he field. He’s been Afghanistan’s talisman player and when he’s on the field, Afghanistan have hope. For Afghanistan to make a mark, Khan will have to step up, like he always has. In each of his first four FC games, Rashid Khan has picked a 5-for. Indians are masters of playing spin. Let’s see how they tackle this master craftsman.
On FanFight Rashid Khan costs 8.6 credits.

Dinesh Karthik will be playing his first test since 2010. He’s missed 87 tests in this time span. The 6th most by any player and the most by an Indian. Parthiv Patel held the record previously for an Indian. He missed 83 tests before making an appearance. The overall record is held by Gareth Batty who missed 142 tests in more than 11 years.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman will become the first player since 1900 to make his first-class debut in a test match. He’ll also become the first player to be born in the 21st century.
Australia are the only team to win their debut test. They beat England in the very first test match ever played in 1877.
