IPL 2018 | MATCH 10 | KKR vs SRH | FANFIGHT PREVIEW

KKR vs SRH: Kolkata Knight Riders take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 10th game of the Indian Premier League. Kolkata started off with an eclectic win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore but were beaten by the Chennai Super Kings. Records were shattered and one Andre Russell hit 11 towering sixes. A couple out of the Chidambaram Stadium. Sam Billings played a sublime knock of 56 off 23 deliveries winning CSK another positive two. KKR are 3rd on the table with a positive run-rate of 0.195.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, have managed two wins in two and are currently the league leaders. The Kane Williamson led side have the best bowling unit in the IPL and their batters haven’t done badly either. Can the Sunrisers win a hat-trick of games or will the Knight Riders trounce the Hyderabadi’s at home?

PITCH CONDITIONS

TEAM NEWS

For KKR, Mitchell Johnson is all set to return after suffering a slight niggle. The Aussie pacer in KKR’s first game conceded only 30 runs in his full quota of overs.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti might replace a rather out of form, Vinay Kumar.

For SRH, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar didn’t feature against Mumbai Indians. Kumar was out due to a sore back and is expected to return against KKR. Sandeep Sharma will have to make way.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR

Andre Russell is a tough man to keep out after his batting display against the Chennai Super Kings. Russell smashed 88* off 36 balls, a mind-boggling strike-rate of 244.44. He’s easily one of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball and can dart in deliveries over 140 kmph.

Russell’s strike-rate in the IPL: 179. 10(the highest ever)

Balls per boundary: 3.78

Sixes hit: 49, fours hit: 51.

Russell is the man to watch out for, for KKR vs SRH.

Shikhar Dhawan has been the batting fulcrum of this SRH unit. The team has some classy batsman in Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey and Wriddhiman Saha, but Dhawan sets the tone for the innings right from ball one. He’s currently the leading run-getter in the tournament and so, is the owner of the orange cap. Dhawan has scored 123 runs in two innings at a healthy 144.70 runs per hundred balls.

Dhawan has scored 3684 runs in 129 matches in the IPL. The 7th all-time leading run-getter. Dhawan is yet to score an IPL century and with the form he’s displayed, the stage is set for him to unleash. Will he score a hundred against KKR? Let’s not ignore the possibilities.

WHO WILL WIN KKR vs SRH?

SRH have an abysmal record at the Eden Gardens but for the year 2018, they have an ominous looking bowling attack. However, Dinesh Karthik and his troops have played two nail-biters and in pressure situations are more likely to hold their nerves. SRH have an inexperienced batting line-up and if a target around 170 is set for them to chase, a hiccup in the top-order can cause them the game. For the 10th IPL game 2018 between KKR and SRH, it’s advantage KKR(also because they play at home).
