IPL 2018 | MATCH 37 | MI vs KKR | FANFIGHT PREVIEW

MI vs KKR is going to be the 37th match of the IPL. All stats, numbers, predictions and FanFight fantasy teams for MI vs KKR have been drafted here.

Two teams battle it out for two important points. MI have to win all games to stay alive in the tournament. A victory in their last game must have certainly boosted their confidence. Skipper Rohit Sharma has had a pretty ordinary series so far and for his team to keep winning, the white ball stalwart needs to step up big time. The likes of Hardik and Krunal Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah also are slowly but steadily getting into the grove. Can they do the unthinkable yet again?

KKR have won two out of their last 3 games. A stern victory against CSK and an impressive victory against the Royal Challengers has put them in contention for the top 4 spots. Shubman Gill guided his team home in the previous game with a fluent fifty and the Caribbean duo just keep getting better with every game. Can they hold their poise and go all the way in this year’s IPL? Only time can tell and positive performances are the only recourses.

PITCH AND CONDITIONS

170 has been the average score on this wicket in this year’s IPL. While quality batting has seen teams score a mammoth 213 on this wicket, SRH defended a mere 118 on the same turf. There can never be a safe total in T20’s, especially in the IPL. Uncertainty is without a shadow of a doubt the norm here.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR

Jasprit Bumrah is undoubtedly one of the best bowlers in the world in the T20 format. After conceding a six off his very first delivery against KXIP, Bumrah finished with figures of 1/19 in 4 overs. Mumbai have relied heavily on him in the past and he’s got to be the main man to get them out of this predicament. He’ll be Mumbai’s main man in the match against KKR.

In the IPL 2018 – Matches: 9, Wickets: 10, Economy rate: 6.75

Andre Russell has had the highest strike-rate in this year’s IPL. The Caribbean star has pummeled his way to glory and has taken down teams with his monstrous hitting. If there was hurricane named Russell coming my way, I would take cover immediately. That’s what the teams in this IPL must be thinking. If he fires KKR almost, always win. He’s been a huge game changer for the Knights and against the defending champions, Russell will be Kolkata’s key man.

In the IPL 2018 – Matches: 9, Runs: 207, Strike-rate: 202.94, Sixes: 23, balls/boundary: 3.2

DID YOU KNOW?

Sunil Narine has dismissed Evin Lewis 4 times in the 32 deliveries he’s bowled to him. He’s also dismissed Kieron Pollard 3 times in 59 deliveries, conceding only 60.

Robin Uthappa needs only 17 more runs to reach 4,000 runs in IPL. He’ll be the 6th batsman to scale the 4k mountain.
