KKR vs DC | Match 26 | IPL 2019 | FanFight Fantasy Cricket Preview | Eden & Russell host the Dynamic Capitals

KKR vs DC: It’s the 26th game of the Indian Premier League & every game this season has been a run-fest(barring the games at Chepauk). Kolkata Knight Riders are 2nd on the points table with 8 points & they take on the Delhi Capitals who slowly but steadily are making a name for themselves. This is not the Delhi of the old. Yes, they did bottle the game against Kings XI but there’s a sense of anticipation from this bunch of players. They’ve won 3 & lost 3 but are serious contenders for a spot in the top 4.

Prithvi Shaw, Kagiso Rabada & Rishab Pant are excitable youngsters. They’ve turned up on the grandest stages of them all & are contributing consistently. Shaw & Pant are two of the most exciting cricketers in world cricket while the other, a pacer, who’s arguably the best in the world. Delhi beat the Royal Challengers in their previous game. They are a team to watch out for. How far will they go this year is the big question & can they beat the Knights again?

Kolkata Knight Riders have lost two games thus far in the IPL 2019. The first was against the Capitals & the second, in their most recent encounter versus the Super Kings. The conditions at Chepauk were adverse for run-making & the Knights were completely outplayed. Andre Russell has garnered every bit of attention & at the Eden Gardens with shorter boundaries & a batting-friendly wicket, a ‘Dre Rus’ special is always on the cards. He applied himself on the Chennai track & then struck some lusty blows.

Russell can strike them at 268 runs per hundred balls & churn the strike-around when the turf isn’t conducive for batting. Now that’s doubly scary. Robin Uthappa is an IPL legend. The right-hander has scored 4312 IPL runs & has always been a reliable source for the Knights. This year he’s got off to starts but with his pristine quality much more is expected from the stylish batsman. Who’ll turn out to be Delhi’s nightmare? KKR vs DC promises to be an absolute thriller & the tournament now has begun in earnest.

When: 11th April 2019, Friday

Where: Eden Gardens, Kolkata

Kick-Off: 8:00PM IST

It took a special effort from Kagiso Rabada in probably one of the best super overs ever. Not only did Rabada defend a mere 11 but also had to contain a the swashbuckling Andre Russell who’s depositing every delivery into orbit. Delhi went on to win that contest & they now travel to the Eden Gardens for the reverse fixture.

Delhi Capitals don’t have the best winning percentage against the top teams in the league. Against the 2-time champions, KKR, DC have won 10 games & have gone down 13 times.

At the Eden Gardens, Delhi have managed the one solitary win. Clearly, at home, ‘KKR hain Tayyar'(KKR are ready to roar).

Two IPL games have been played at the Eden Gardens this year & both games were high-scoring games. Kolkata chased down 182 in the first against SRH & then clobbered the Kings XI Punjab for 218 runs. The boundaries aren’t the biggest. 41 sixes & 63 fours have been hit on this ground in just the two games this year. Both KKR & DC have some of the cleanest strikers of the ball in their dugouts. Win the toss & bat 2nd on this turf.

Average 1st innings score: 158

Highest score at this venue: 210/6 by MI vs KKR

Matt Kelly has been added to the squad as a replacement for Anrich Nortje. Lockie Ferguson might replace Harry Gurney.

For Delhi, Harshal Patel has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament due to an arm fracture. Trent Boult or Sandeep Lamichchanne? The Delhi think tank has a dicey decision to make.
