KXIP vs SRH | Match 22 | IPL 2019 | FanFight Fantasy Cricket Preview | SRH Have to Look Beyond the Opening Pair

KXIP vs SRH: Before the match against Mumbai Indians, Sun Risers Hyderabad were at the top of the points table and also were this season’s favourites. However, their position and part of their repute came crashing down when they were bowled out for a mere 96 at their home turf. SRH had been their most effective on their home ground, with openers putting a 100-plus partnership in every game played at the RGI Stadium, this season.

With extraordinary performances from the openers in almost every game, no one knew what would happen if the opening duo failed. This question was answered in the game against MI, where, after the dismissal of the openers, the middle order crumbled in no time. Deepak Hooda was the highest run-getter with 20 runs from 24 balls.

After the first innings, everyone was convinced that it was yet again Hyderabad’s game who restricted the opposition to a mere 136, which seemed like the kind of score SRH could wrap up in less than 15 overs, and then came Alzarri Joseph, the debutant, who shattered all of SRH’s dreams. The West Indian medium fast bowler claimed 6 wickets to his name.

SRH will want to put this defeat behind them and act strong against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.  Between SRH and KXIP, SRH have been the stronger side, who emerged victorious in 75% of all games, played since 2013.

While SRH are recovering from an embarrassing defeat, KXIP don’t have too much to be confident too. The latter are among the bottom half of the points table and their Net Run Rate at -0.094. However, the team has shown promise, by winning 2 out of the last three matches played. Also, the fact that KXIP crushed SRH in their last match at home, might provide a major confidence boost to the team.

One big change expected in the team could be that of including Ankit Rajpoot in exchange of Mohammad Shami.
